Under normal situations the oxygen supply to the body meets the requirement in helping produce ATP. If the body is stressed, like running real fast for a period of time, the body cannot keep up with the amount of oxygen needed to supply the energy needed to maintain this activity. The body then under goes anaerobic respiration or fermentation. The pyruvic acid is converted into lactic acid instead of being sent to the citric acid cycle. Here no ATP is produced except for glycolysis. The lactic acid will build up in the muscles as the activity continues. The accumulation of this lactic acid will eventually fatigue the muscles and the exercise will come to a halt. The person will breathe hard until the oxygen needed is recovered. The lactic acid will be removed to the liver and changed back to pyruvic acid. The process will occur until all the lactic acid is changed back.

Ah it’s wonderful when things work out,
This was a wonderful story. In the begining not much was explained and the female character was on a bit of a high horse but everything worked out wonderfully! The male character worked hard to look below the serface of events and trusted his instinkts both in bed and out. He did pull back after some of the details came clear which seems less dominant to some. But dominance is not always about being emotionless all the time every person does things they regret sometimes but this shows what we all wish would happen every time you have a rough start!
This did not a a lot of elements of BDSM, or domination but it was a great story about people stepping into the lifestyle.

I love the domination theme, and this book did come through for me in that aspect. I also liked the hero Keaton using Maddie’s body to get back what she owes him, the whole sex for debt idea.
Although not technically forced sex, Maddie is his for a month and under his control, and Keaton makes her think she is a prisoner at his ranch. I liked that he made her feel this way. He told her she wasn’t allowed to leave the property, that she was being watched in case she tried anything, and that her phone calls were being monitored. He also tells Maddie that the days are hers but the nights, from midnight to 7, are his. The author lets us see Keaton really getting off on his power and control and enjoying his domination of Maddie. He expects her to come to him at night, and, symbolic of his control and her compliance, he even locks her in with him in the bedroom.
There was no menage; there was D/s, light bondage, blindfold, anal sex, a metal sex toy, and spanking. While I did like the story, I wanted something more from it. This story did have some really hot scenes that got me hot; I loved the domination, Master, and I belong to you stuff. Just wish maybe Keaton had been a little harder or rougher. I thought the most erotic scene in the book was when, as he’s teaching her how to hold/shoot a gun, he rubs the loaded gun up and down her cleavage, making her scared but excited at the same time. That’s the edgiest we see Keaton (imo), and I would have loved to have seen more of that.
I did enjoy this story, my first one by this author. It was easy and uncomplicated in what it is, and a sexy read overall. I would try another story by this author.

This actually wasn’t a bad read, I purchase this book a couple of hours ago and just finished it. I like that the moment I started the book it captured my interest and the rest just flowed easily throughout the pages. Maddie has a great job and loves her job, she believes her sister has been kidnpped and sets out to pay the ransom for her sister’s safety by taking the money from the company (let’s just say all is not what it seems regarding her sisters kidnapping). Keaton who is the CEO notices the money is missing and decides to use the opportunity to finally Have Maddie in his bed.
The title seemed very interesting when I first purchase the book, but I must say for those who likes the Dom/Sub while I love this read it wasn’t hard core Dom/sub it was soft core on the scale, the sex was not lacking though, a good smooth quick read. I think I would look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
